When my neighbour Neville told me he was
going to build himself a wind turbine using
a "DIY Wind Turbine" guide he had bought
online, I must admit, I was
fairly sceptical. Surely he must be joking?
But much to my surprise, it actually worked!
Not only did it
work, but after just 6 weeks he had slashed his
electricity bill by over 80%. I was so
impressed by his results I decided to have a go at it
myself.
(See our top 2 "DIY Wind Turbine Guides" reviewed below)
Now I must confess to not being much of a handyman, but
even I was able to make a good quality wind turbine in about half a day with
the information in Nevilles' "DIY Wind Turbine" guide
(and a little bit of Neville's help). And the total cost
including materials was under $150!
If I had bought this from a commercial wind turbine company it probably would
have cost me around $3000.
After this initial success we decided to try out some of
the other online "Do It Yourself" wind & solar energy courses to see which ones had the
best information. I had expected them to all be fairly
similar, but this wasn't the case. Of the 7 courses we
bought, most were really disappointing, with poorly
presented information and a lot of fluff. However 2
stood out from the pack, with 1 of them being quite
outstanding.
'GreenDIYenergy'
'GreenDIYenergy' was the easiest to
use and most comprehensive guide we tested
by a long, long way. Of the 7 guides we
tried, this one had the most detailed,
clearest, step by step system. It also had
the best content, with 3 separate guides
included, covering Wind Turbine & Solar
Panel
construction (plus bonus guides with
information on how to find free batteries
and how to connect them).
Everything is broken down into simple steps,
with plenty of photos and illustrations to
make the assembly process as easy as
possible.
Incredibly, we were able to complete the
entire construction process in under half a
day, at a cost of just over $140. It was
good fun too! And the best part is, you
don't have to be a rocket scientist to do
it. The process they describe really is quite simple.
You can currently buy 'GreenDIYenergy' at
a
special introductory price, but I'm not
sure for how long. It's a great value
course, and I really do urge you to try it
if your serious about saving money on your
electricity bill. You also have the peace of
mind of a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee, so
there's no excuse not to have a go yourself.

'Earth 4 Energy'

'Earth 4
Energy' is another good Wind Turbine guide
with clear, concise instructions.
It's a reasonably basic guide at only 70 pages, but
was still much better than the other 5 we
tried. It probably wasn't as detailed as it
could have been, and a couple of the steps
were a little confusing in their
description, but at only $49.97 including a
money back guarantee it's still worth a
look.
Conclusion:
I tell you, 7 guides is a lot to test, but
we gave them all a fair old shake down. I
must admit, we were quite surprised by the
results. We really hadn't expected there to
be such a large difference in the quality of
these courses, especially as one of them was
supposed to be the best selling guide in the
market, and turned out to be 65 pages of
rubbish.
I hope
our efforts have been of help to you, and
